Please mark this on your calendar!  No hot lunch will be served on Wednesday, February 17th - Ash Wednesday!  February 17th was not paid for in your schedule of February lunches.

Proceeds to Youth Mission Team
Twenty-one teens from our Parish will to travel to Kentycky in July to help those in need.  As part of their fundraising, they are selling $5.00 coupon books for Carson Pirie Scott's Community Day - Saturday, February 27th. The coupon book gives you $10 off any item $10 or more and Carson's will give the FULL $5.00 back to the Youth Group.  The book also includes other coupons to use on that Saturday.

Austin Davis, a sophomore at St. Ed's was left off our list of alums on the honor roll.  Sorry you were omitted, Austin, and congratulations!
Attention 8th Grade Parents
On Wednesday, February 3, your son/daughter should have brought home aletter in regards to the end of the year DVD that will be put together for the class.  Please be sure to ask your child for the letter. 
Sign Up for Boys' Volleyball
Information and a sign up sheet for boys' volleyball is attached to Wednesday's Dialogue (February 3).  The form for sign up is due by February 12th.
MC/DJ Needed for Trivia Night
Hey, this is a "shout out" to anyone who could help us on Trivia Night by being a  MC and/or DJ.  Don't you have that talent to share?  If you can help or know someone who could do this for us, please let Susan Bolt (847-742-5076) know by Friday, if possible.  It would be quite costly to hire someone - We're sure you could do it!!!

Crusader Youth Football SignUp
Come join the defending Super Bowl Camps as we begin the journedy towards yet another super Bowl victory.  2010 registration begins on saturday, February 6th (the day before the Super Bowl) at Greenwave Hall, St. Edward High School from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Crusader Youth Football is designed for area youth ages 7-14 (non-high school students) and acts as a feeder football program for St. Edward High School in Elgin.  The Crusaders field treams at the Bantam, Lighweight, and Heavyweight division levels.  Contact Dale Koehring at 847-741-0425/630-401-5930 or Mike Holte at 847-695-2987 for more information.
Lunchroom Helper Needed
A volunteer is needed to help in the lunchroom on Thursdays from approximately 11:40 to 12:30.  Help is needed to open milk cartons, thermos jars, food containers and wash tables during the two lunch periods.  Call the school office if you can help.
Attention: Boys' Basketball Players
Boys 5th through 8th grade who have old basketball uniforms are asked to return them to school.  They may be needed in the future.  Also, this is a reminder to hang onto the uniforms you are presented wearing until after yearbook picture day on February 19th.  They will be collected on that day.

Cell Phones in Parking Lot
Please use caution when using your cell phone in the parking lot.  The safety of our students is our utmost concern.
Dodge Key Fob Found
A key fob was found in the west parking lot on the evening of Friday, February 8th.  If you are missing one, stop in or call the school office.
Six Flags Reading Club
It's that time of year again!  The Six Flags Read to Succeed Six Hour Reading club is here.  Every student in grades kindergarten through six will have the opportunity to earn a free admission ticket to Great America just for reading six hours.  Forms were sent home on Wednesday, January 13th.  The six hours of reading need to be completed by March 1st.  No late forms will be accepted.  Happy Reading!
A Request
For those who have still not packed away all their Christmas decorations --- the decorating committee for Trivia Night is looking for blue Christmas tree lights.  The lights will be returned after the event.  Please contact Susan Bolt or call the school office if you have any to loan.

Food Drive
The National Junior Honor Society will be holding a food drive as their service project.  The food drive will be held from January 11th through February 12th.  We are asking all grades to bring in paper products, canned or boxed goods, or personal hygiene items.  These items will be collected at the end of each week and the class with the most items each Friday afternoon will be awarded a dress down day the following week as designated by their homeroom teacher.  All collected items will be donated to the F.I.S.H. Food Pantry.
