D300 Budget Cuts
Dear St. Catherine Parents:
On March 3rd I attended another meeting with Associate Superintendent David Scarpino and Transportation Director Donna Bordsen regarding additional budget cuts for the 2010-2011 school year.
My initial communication to you indicated that only midday busing would be cut from the parochial schools. Unfortunately the meeting I had yesterday brought some more news regarding all the parochial school busing.
D300 administation will recommend to the school board that bus transportation to parochial schools be eliminated for the follwing 2010-2011 school year. This recommendation will take place at the Monday March 8th meeting. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm at CMS.
I encourage all who are affected by this change to e-mail the school board at board@d300.org to voice your concerns or to attend the school board meeting that is open to the general public. To address the board, simply sign in at the podium at the front of the room prior to 7:30 p.m.
Let our voices be heard!

Thank You from F.I.S.H.
Dear Staff and Students,
Thank you for the wonderful job you did making birthday boxes for the children who come to our F.I.S.H. Food Pantry. Your should be very proud of yourselves!
We provide food for over 484 fmilies each month, almost all of them with children. Most of these families don't have enough money to celebrate special days. With the birthday boxes you made, you will help us to make each of their birthdays a very special occasion. You are doing what Jesus asked us to do when He said, "Feed the Hungry."
Thank you so much for your help!
Gratefully,
Mary Graziano, Secretary
