Room Parent Coordinators Room Parent Coordinators are responsible for insuring that all classroom parties are organized. A Party Chairperson will be designated for each party and will work with the Room Parent Coordinator on that specific event. There are three class parties each year (Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day). Unlike prior years, no money will be collected for funding the costs of the party. Instead, families from the class will each be assigned to a party to be responsible for providing needed party items. The Party Chairperson will contact each family in regard to what they are being asked to provide. You will be receiving a letter from your Room Parent Coordinator that includes details of who each Party Chairperson is, as well as to which parties your family is assigned. If more than the allowed number of parents sign up to be party parents for any given party, a lottery will be conducted to determine which parents are assigned to each party. Additionally, in the event of emergency school closings, the Room Parent Coordinator will act as the Emergency Calling Person for their grade.
